my chartbook consist of an ES chart, DOM, and footprint, i like to use ES order flow over MES. Is there a way to have my ES chartbook setup but change the symbol to MES on the trading window?

Yes. Refer to: Chart Settings: Trade and Current Quote Symbol (text box) (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Symbol >> Symbol menu) Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. I've attached an image of my chart settings, doesn't seem to work with how i wanted it. I wanted ES charts and an MES trading window on that chart, whenever i place a trade on my ES chartbook it submits two orders one for ES and one MES.

There is not a problem here. On the ES chart, since the trade symbol is MES, then you are seeing the orders for MES displayed on the chart. And on the MES specific chart, you are seeing that very same order.

Ok, sounds good. So am I able to have my ES chart book with an attached MES trading window or is it not possible?

You can do this by using this setting in the ES chart: Chart Settings: Trade and Current Quote Symbol (text box) (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Symbol >> Symbol menu) Set to the MES symbol. The Trade Window for that chart will be for MES. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users.
