We have no idea about performance, but Sierra Chart can run on an ARM processor with the ARM version of Sierra Chart which is included with all Sierra Chart installations.

Does the running the arm version on a mac m chip considered as running natively? Or natively is just considered as running on windows computer? |

Hi, The ARM version of Sierra Chart runs on Windows ARM. Therefore, you still need to use a tool like Parallels (which I recommend). Once configured, Parallels uses about 50% of your Mac’s resources, so plan for twice what you think you’ll need. If you want 32 GB of RAM available for Sierra Chart, get a Mac with 64 GB. The same logic applies to the processor, storage space, and so on. I’m running Sierra Chart on a MacBook Air M4 with 32 GB of RAM, which means only 16 GB are allocated to Sierra Chart through Parallels — and it works perfectly fine as long as I don’t have 20 charts open at once. The only downside with Macs — and I hope they’ll fix this in future versions (one can dream) — is that the read/write speed of the SSD they use is relatively slow. As a result, you’ll need to be patient when loading charts with a lot of historical data. Have a great day. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2025-10-31 14:32:10
