Alert in two chartbooks

I use two identical chartbooks with different symbols. The alerts are also the same. Both are loaded automatically, but only one is ever “active.” Although only one chartbook is active at a time, the alert sounds for both. Is there a way to control this for only one instance (alert only for the “active” one), or do I have to open a second instance? Many thanks |

There is no option to only have an alert sound for the "Active" chartbook. Even though a chartbook is not active, the charts are still updated/calculated, they are just not being drawn. So alerts will still take place on those charts. This would be true for separate instances as well. The only options for this would be to manually adjust the alerts to be Enabled or not Enabled when you are using one chartbook or another. With separate instances, it could be slightly easier, as you could use the option for "Alerts >> Mute All Alert Sounds" on the Alert Manager for an instance.
