Hello,

I tried to create a CSV file following the example on your website and import it into Sierra Chart, but all I get is a blank chart. What am I doing wrong?

Attached is the CSV file that is not working.

Thank you for your help.

We are not having any issue importing the data. Attached is an image of what we get when we import it.

Are you selecting the appropriate header line option when you select the import option?

What do you mean with "... header line option when you select the import option"
I just click File -> "New/Open Intraday Chart", there is no option.

I can’t get it to work. I tested a fresh install of Sierra Chart (v2800) and tried both “New/Open Intraday Chart” and “Edit → Import and Load Intraday Data” with Line Format set to Auto-Detect (and other options), but nothing worked — the chart is always empty. Looks like something is broken...

For Intraday data, you need to follow these instructions:
Exporting and Importing Intraday Data Files: Import and Load

And since you have headers in your file, you will need to select the correct "Line Format" in the window that comes up. There is one that matches what you have, as we were able to import just fine using that format.

"Edit → Import and Load Intraday Data" does work, but I have to disconnect, and the chart does not update with new data in the file.

So why can’t I use "New/Open Intraday Chart", since this function should be able to read the CSV (intraday) file and automatically reload it?
I would need exactly this functionality for a custom chart.

Could you please provide an example of how I need to format the CSV file so that I can use "New/Open Intraday Chart"?

Thank you very much for your help.
