Greetings I have been charting TPO profiles for my futures calendar spreads without any problem but now seem to be faced with an issue with one particular spread. When trying to chart a TPO profile for the spread LEG26-LEJ26 I come up with a blank chart. I follow the same process and use the same parameters to set up the TPO chart for this spread as I do for my other spreads but I cannot get a TPO profile for this spread. I thought that perhaps it had to do with the LE commodity but I am able to chart a TPO profile for the spread LEG26-LEM26 i.e. just by changing the back leg from the J contract to the M contract I can get a TPO profile (but not with the J contract) Very odd - can you look into this please. Thank you |

We are not seeing any particular reason for there to be an issue. Attached is an image of the TPOs for LEG26-LEJ26 spread when we pull it up. Please duplicate the chart and then remove the TPO study from the chart. Make sure the underlying data is correct. Let us know what you see in terms of the data. I did as you instructed and got the same result i.e. a blank chart - however, when I changed the timeframe from Monthly to daily (in order to mimick your screenshot), the TPO chart (daily) appeared and when I then moved the timeframe back to monthly - the chart was there - so the problem is solved. However I find it odd that when I follow the exact same procedure (without changing the timeframes) for other spreads and even for the LEG26-LEM26 - my monthly TPO charts appears 1st time without having to toggle the timeframes. So the issue is solved but just find it odd that the exact same procedure is not producing this issue with other spreads. Thank you for your time |
