There must be a problem with the custom study itself. Refer to help topic 17 here:

I get a "Sierra chart has stopped working" message when i press the "Add Custom Study" button.
This happens when i want to add a second custom study regardless of the custom study that was added successfully on the first attempt..

Your conclusion looks irrelevant, maybe you would like to look again into this..

BR,
Avi

With what you describe there is no doubt this is the result of a problem with a custom studies DLL.

What version of Sierra Chart are you running?

1199. and then switched to pre-release 1200 but the problem persists..

I also tried to create a new chartbook and add various custom studies to it.
I got the same behaviour - first custom study is added successfully and then pressing again on the "Add
Custom Study" button is stopping SC.

After launching SC again, problem is back the same way as described above...

Avi.

I think I was misunderstood. There is no specific problematic DLL since the problem occurs
whenever i try to add a second custom study, regardless of the custom study that was added before,
and exactly when i press the "Add custom study" button the second time (this is obviously before even selecting the second custom study
to add..)

After restarting SC I can add any custom study on the first attempt but fail as described on my second "add custom study" attempt..

Hope I made it clear now..

This is 100% a problem with the custom study DLL file. Refer to help topic 17:

The only solution is to delete the faulty DLLs and contact the developer of them. We cannot provide further help. We are 100% certain the problem is with the DLLs. Please understand that. We know what we are talking about. Delete those DLLs and the problem will be fixed.

We cannot comment on this further. Please understand what we are telling you.
