I would like to increase my own margin requirements. I understand that this is mostly controlled by the trader's FCM/Broker. Is there a way to increase it myself through some sort of multiplier? I understand there are Global Trade Position limits but that is not what I am looking for. For example, at AMP I only need $100 in margin per MNQ and $40 per MES. If I could multiply this by 10, then I would need $1,000 per MNQ and $400 per MES. Is there any way to to do this on the client side? I know some data/execution providers have some control over this (CQG I think), but I would like to do this through Denali + Teton. By setting it this way, my position limits would automatically scale with my account size and I would be able to limit my position size at the contract level. A global position limit of lets say 10 would not distinguish between MES, ES, MNQ, NQ, ZN, etc. |

Actually, I might have found it! I had to go directly into the trade account and edit it. I found it in Edit Trade Account --> Margin Settings --> Use Percent of Required Margin (%). I also see it in the Edit Trade Account --> Symbol/Product Limits --> Use % of Required Margin. Can someone confirm if this functionality is supported by all brokers? I use AMP. I know there are some settings that are not supported by AMP (User Profit/Loss Management through Teton). Date Time Of Last Edit: 2025-09-20 17:28:59

You can not control the margin requirements for a broker trading account. So what you found and changed will not affect your account, if it was for your live trading account. You can change those items for the "Simulated Futures Trading Service" accounts. And we wonder if you were actually modifying one of those accounts and not your live trading account. For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
