Hi Support Want to run something by you before committing. I want ICE-US and ICE-EU data. I searched the forum and it has been suggested to ask your broker to enable CQG order routing, get a CQG login, and go from there. 10min delayed data is fine with me for swing trading. I currently subscribe to Denali and want to keep that. If I set my trading/data service to CQG Web API with allow support for SC data feeds checked, then this should seamlessly work with both data providers? My real time CME group Denali data and my 10 min delayed CQG ICE data? I have many open charts across multiple chartbooks, for both CME group futures and NQTV equities. By connecting to CQG will I have to change the name of any of the existing Denali chart symbols? currently its ESZ25-CME and QQQ-NQTV (for example) thanks. |

Everything will work fine. You will get the data from our Denali Exchange Data Feed for the exchanges that you have active and the other data will come from CQG. I have many open charts across multiple chartbooks, for both CME group futures and NQTV equities. By connecting to CQG will I have to change the name of any of the existing Denali chart symbols? currently its ESZ25-CME and QQQ-NQTV (for example)
The Futures symbols will have to change, as each service has a different symbology. After you select CQG as your "Current Selected Service" in the "Data/Trade Service Settings" window, and you select "OK" to close that window, you will be prompted to update the symbols. Be sure to select "Yes". The futures symbols will then be updated to what is needed for CQG. Should you open another chartbook later, or forget to update the symbols, then you can select "Edit >> Translate Symbols To Current Service" to update the symbols. The U.S. Equities symbols do not need to be updated and they will not change. So even though all futures symbols will change to match CQG notation, somewhere in SC it will say ah you don't have access to this symbol in CQG => map it to the Denali symbol. Does that cause any noticeable delay? I have quite a lot of different symbols scid files that need backfilling at startup

It actually works the opposite way. Sierra Chart first checks to see if you are able to get the data from our Denali Exchange Data Feed, and if you are not setup for it, then it will try to get the data from your connected trading service. But, for U.S. Equities, it always tries to get that data from our Denali Exchange Data Feed. If data is wanted from a different source, then a different symbol has to be used. There is no delay in having this occur. For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
