Why is my DOM of SPY-OPT-20250903-645-C-SMART-100-USD looking like this (data from IB TWS)? All my other DOMs of futures and FOPs look great with no such weird overlaps. What could be wrong in my settings?

What is the Tick Size of that symbol?

0.01. it is SPY option. Like all US equity options it moves in one cent increment

Not totally sure about this issue. The first thing to do is to make sure there is Symbol Settings set up for this symbol, can be a symbol pattern as well to match with multiple symbols, in the Global Symbol Settings: Global Symbol Settings And make sure the Tick Size is set to .01. this is what I have. the pic also shows the tws dom side by side for comparison. not a big deal I guess as the bid/ask price levels are correct, and order transmits correctly from sierra dom to tws. just looks weird is all

In that picture you are showing the Chart Settings. Not the Global Symbol Settings.

I don't know what the Global Symbol Settings for this will be. I thought the chart settings get the data from global settings, but can be overridden in chart? So isn't what we see in "chart settings" is the final word for that chart? Anyways, I have no idea what the global settings need to be and how that affects this Should be really easy for you to pull up a spy option dom and see for yourself. And if it works for you, just tell us what the settings should be. Thank you |

There are no Global Symbol Settings for options. They have to be manually added. This is not something we would do ourselves for an option. Knowing how Interactive Brokers provides market depth data, we do not think this would help anyway. But we did want to recommend it just in case. Nothing more to do at this time.
