hi i am trying to generate the trade log but when i enter the trade log nothing happens

We assume you are referring to the "Trade >> Trade Activity Log". In this case, open the "Trade Activity Log" and then select "DisplaySettings" at the top. This opens a set of filters to determine what is displayed in the Trade Activity Log. Make sure that the filters are set in a way to display the information that you want to see. Please select "Window >> Reset Windows" and then select "Trade >> Trade Activity Log" again and see if it comes up.
