I just updated to version 2784 and my trade management by study is no longer working. All the settings are the same, the spreadsheet it references is the same, and I've tried rebuilding it and reloading and recalculating the chart with no luck. I've attached a screenshot to show my TMS settings if that's helpful.

There was a change to the Trade Management by Study in order to fix an issue where a move was occurring prior to the amount of time passing. This could be seen as having a move occur as soon as the trade was put in place instead of waiting. We wonder if this is what you are seeing that is different. You would need to wait 1000 seconds before the Target will be moved per your settings. We have tested the Trade Management by Study again to ensure it is working as it should, and it is working properly in the current versions. Adjusting the seconds from 1000 to 1 got it to at least use the referenced column rather than the target and stop set in the trade window, but the problem is that the column it references changes in every bar. I'm never in a trade for more than 1000 seconds which is why that worked, but I don't understand why I can't continue to use that method in the new update. If I can't use that method anymore do you know another simple way to have a certain value in my spreadsheet locked in until a new trade occurs? One that doesn't reference K or M in case a trade temporarily shows as valid but isn't valid by the time the bar closes?

There was a "bug" in the Trade Management by Study in which sometimes the study would move a Stop/Target when the study was first called, even though the amount of time had not expired. This was also inconsistent with how it behaved in Simulation Mode versus Live trading. So this was fixed. It sounds like you are wanting the "Trade Management by Study" to adjust your Targets/Stops immediately and then wait the allotted time. This was never the intention for this study. Give us a few days so we can take a look and see if we can add an option to this study to do what you want. With regards to the spreadsheet locking a value, it depends on what you are trying to accomplish. We would need more information on the particular item you are referencing to begin with to see if there is a way to reference it for a certain period. But, in general, there is not a way to lock a value that is transitory within a bar. Did you happen to make any progress adding that option? What I'm locking isn't a transitory value within a bar so I've found a way to lock the value I need in a spreadsheet, however when I have multiple entries in the same direction with different targets and stops, the TMBS moves the targets and stops from prior open trades to the target/stop based on the new value of the cell that locks until there's a new entry. Adding the option in the study to lock a target for a certain period of time or indefinitely for a position would solve that problem. If that's not going to be added, is there any other way to solve that?

We have looked into this and done some work, but it needs further development. Hopefully in the next few weeks, but we really can not say for sure. What we have done is add an option to have the "Trade Management by Study" perform the move as soon as the study is Enabled, or if there is a new position for the chart (this would require that the symbol is flat and a new position opened). Then if you set the "Number of Seconds" for the update to something large, then the Trade Management by Study will not update again until that time has passed (or if you turn it off and then back on again). Please let us know if this will work for what you are wanting, as we are not quite understanding what you are stating in your last post regarding "moves the targets and stops from prior open trades".
