SC2782

Chart has 'Spreadsheet System for Trading" study with a spreadsheet loaded.
The spreadsheet has been explicitly saved with formulas in the 'Buy Entry", 'Buy Exit", 'Sell Entry', 'Sell Exit' columns.

Under the following conditions the formulas in these columns are deleted:

1. [Menu] Trade >> Clear Trade Simulation Orders & Data
2. [Menu] Trade >> Auto Trading Enabled - Global (goes from enabled to disabled)

Is that the expected behavior?

Deletion also occurs when certain settings in the 'Spreadsheet System for Trading" study are changed.
Not sure if this applies to all settings.

There must be some explanation of the issue in your case. Neither of those could be causing the problem. This is not technically possible. The most likely explanation is that those are triggering a full recalculation. That by itself is not the problem.

Usually the reason for this issue is explained here:

Needs more investigation, but the problem seems to be:

The chartbook has several charts which use
Chart >> Chart Settings >> Linking >> Studies = Yes
on the same Link Number.

This causes all 'Spreadsheet System For Trading' studies in these charts to be forced to the same 'Formula Source Sheet Number" setting.

This is not good.

Is there any way to circumvent this?

Linking the studies is pretty much essential for these charts, but the spreadsheet table content should remain independent.

Yes this does make sense and that is the problem:

This causes all 'Spreadsheet System For Trading' studies in these charts to be forced to the same 'Formula Source Sheet Number" setting.

There is no way around this. You need to not use Study Linking.

I want to request an enhancement that would solve this problem:

In the settings for 'Spreadsheet System For Trading' study, allow the study setting for 'Formula Source Sheet Number' to be empty, i.e. not copying anything from any other sheet on spreadsheet updates.
