Missed my stop

Hi all,

I was trading yesterday morning around 10:45 AM. I put on a sell because I thought the market was going to reverse, and was watching it for a bit, and it seemed to me that my trade was right. But to be safe, I tried to move my stop loss to just below the +2 standard deviation (see the attached print screen), and closed down my laptop, because I needed to move away from the trade desk and do some other things.

When I came back later in the afternoon, it looked as though my stop loss was totally and completely ignored, and I was about 18 points in the red...Just curious what happened. Perhaps I didn't wait long enough for the system to get my trade before I closed my laptop (I was also trading from my phone's 5g wifi hotspot, so that may have been part of it.

I am just wondering if there is some sort of setting I have on or didn't have on inside of SC that needs to be set if I am going to walk away from a trade and rely on a pre-made stop or take-profit to get me out of any trade in my absence.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Warm Regards,

Archer

It looks like you are using Teton for your order routing, in which case the Stop order should be on the exchange. It is possible that you shutdown before it was sent, but this would be surprising, as it should occur fairly quickly.

Take a look at your "Trade Activity Log" and find that order and see what information is in there for that order. Refer to the following:
Trade Activity Log: Viewing Historical Trade Activity
For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service:
