Is there a way to take snapshots of the start of a HL2 moving average at the open of a new bar before hL/2 moving average starts moving? It's like the hl/2 becomes the "Open". Can previous snapshots also be plotted? Is there a code for this? Date Time Of Last Edit: 2025-07-10 12:08:25

The only way to do this would be to create a custom study, as you would need to save the state of the study at the point in time that you want. Seems to us the best thing to do is just to use a short timeframe per bar like 1 second and then you can see all of the values every second. You will see them historically as well no matter what study you are using. You can choose any timeframe that you want including a higher one. When using a short timeframe per bar, you will want to reduce the number of days loaded in the chart. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support.
