I HAVE SEVERAL ALERTS THAT COLOR THE BARS BASED ON SET CONDITIONS. HOWEVER, I CAN'T GET THE BAR TO CHANGE FROM A BUY TO A SELL WHEN THE SLOPE OF THE 16 HULL CHANGES FROM POSITIVE TO NEGATIVE. THERE IS A SEVERAL BAR DELAY BASED ON ANOTHER CONDITION. ANY ADVICE WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

You will need to move the hull condition study up higher in the study list so that it takes precedence before the other study conditions. http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_ChartStudies.html#StudyDisplayOrder |

If I wanted to combine 4 alerts into one so I didn't have to deal with priority, how would the the structure look? Would you start out with =or and then do and for each additional expression?

Are you trying to color the price bar up/down when the slope of two MA's are both(+) or both(-)?

When both are positive I want to color the price bar positive. If the 16 Hull is above the 25 Hull and the 16 hull turns color due to slope, and price bar closes below the MA's, then I want to prioritize the color to being negative.

See if this works. In my example ID6=16Hull and ID7=25Hull. ALERT#1 =OR(AND(ID6.SG1>ID6.SG1[-1],ID7.SG1>ID7.SG1[-1]),OR(AND(ID6.SG1>ID6.SG1[-1],ID7.SG1<ID7.SG1[-1]))) ALERT#2 =OR(AND(ID6.SG1<ID6.SG1[-1],ID7.SG1<ID7.SG1[-1]),OR(AND(ID6.SG1<ID6.SG1[-1],ID7.SG1>ID7.SG1[-1]))) |
