I'm running Sierra Chart on macOS [Ventura/Sonoma , and I’ve run into a strange bug:
When I select the Chart Values Tool (Alt+6) and use the crosshair, it works fine.

But when I switch to another app and then back to SC, the cursor becomes a default arrow instead of the crosshair.

Sometimes, the crosshair does appear correctly on return, but it's random — I haven’t found a reliable way to trigger it.

I’ve tried automating input (keyboard/mouse), hiding the Dock, etc. — nothing consistently restores the tool mode.

Restarting SC or the Mac doesn’t help.

This behavior used to work — switching apps and returning would leave the crosshair active. Now it only works sometimes, or not at all.

Could this be a bug with how SC handles macOS focus/app activation events? Any advice?

A problem like this definitely is not unusual. This can happen on Windows as well and we do see issues like this. Although not necessarily this specific scenario.

We will see if we can implement a solution for it.
