Hello Dear Sierra Chart Support Board, is there a way to increase the numbers of forward columns in a extreme way, without increasing the bar times! Any Information to achieve that, even with a costum study is appreciated! Thank you |

The only way to increase the number of forward columns is through the following setting: Chart Settings: Number of Forward Columns (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Display >> Chart Display Items menu) If this does not answer your question, then we need more information on what you are trying to do. Yes, its limited to 2000 forward columns but i would need (8000-10.000)

It has been a while since we worked on the implementation of the forward columns but one thing to be aware of, is that the higher the number the more inefficient, the chart is going to be. It simply is going to have a direct impact on performance. You increase the number, then the more processing time the chart will take. Yes it is not a problem for us to do that, but users just need to understand there is a higher amount of processing the larger that number of forward columns.

The maximum number of forward bars will allowed to be increased to 10,000 in the next release.
