Hi,

This morning I had a BUY STOP order resting for the 6J futures contract. I use Teton Routing. I experienced 8 ticks of slippage, which I realize is an exchange order issue not SC.

Questions:
1. If I change my order type to BUY STOP LIMIT and the STOP LIMIT OFFSET is set to 4 ticks I am assuming that likely I would have not gotten filled on my order this morning as 8 ticks is past the 4 tick limit. Is this correct?

2. Are both BUY STOPS and BUY STOP LIMIT order types held on the Teton servers? The reason I ask is I have satelite internet and I am trying to have orders resting server side whenever possible to avoid latency issues on my end.

Thanks!

1. It depends on the orders available at the Limit price you had set and your order quantity and whether there would be a match at that time. But, in general, if the price is moving that fast, then there is a lack of sellers at those prices so therefore it is possible (probable) that your Buy Stop Limit order would not get filled as you have specified that it must fill at the Limit price or better.

2. Yes, these are held on our servers. All orders except for "Market if Touched" and specific client orders are either held on the exchange or our servers that are co-located with the exchange servers.
