I inserted a study: Spreadshetd System/Alert.

I configured the K3 and M3 columns with formulas like =E3>AA3.
The columns show FALSE/TRUE.

Problem 1:
I do not see any arrows in the chart.

Problem 2:
I I insert a formula like =crossfrombelow(E3:E4,AA3:AA4) i see #NAME in the cell instead of a result.

Problem 3:
How can I have access to the spreadsheet without using Excel.
The Spreadsheet only opens if I press apply button but I want to be able to always have access to the Spreadsheet.

Problem 4:
I have several moving averages in the chart, how do i know which column in the spreadsheet refers to which moving average.
The column only says "simple moving average".

Looking forward to your reply.

Hint: I use Excel in another than English version but I assume this has nothing to do with the problems above.

1) To see the arrows, you might need to Reload and Recalculate. Focus the chart and press the Insert key.

2) You might need to use a semicolon instead of a comma in your case.
=crossfrombelow(E3:E4;AA3:AA4)

3) Once you press OK, the study is added and you will always have access to it.

4) Study outputs appear on the spreadsheet in columns AA and above in the same order they appear in the Studies to Graph list. If that is not enough to identify them, put a name in the Short Name field of the MAs and it will precede the study name in row 1. You could also color the font in row 1 and 2 to match the MA color

1) Unfortunately this did not help. I do nor see any arrows.
2) if I use a semikolon I get an error message and the formula is not accepted.
Question "crossfrombelow" is not an Excel function, maybe this is the reason why the name will not be accetpted. I f I use standard excel function
there is no problem.
3) Yes vie Excel but how can I have access without Excel and how can I make the spreadsheet visible.
4) Ok done, this worked.

If 'Use Excel' is set to Yes, set it to No. You may have to close Excel before you will have control of SC to set it to No.
The Yes option is available, but not recommended as it can be unreliable:

If setting 'Use Excel' to No and pressing OK and OK doesn't produce the SC spreadsheet, try this:
1) Go to Window >> Tile Horizontally
or
2) Remove the spreadsheet study, press OK and choose No to not save it. Then add it to the chart again, give it a name in the Spreadsheet Name field, and leave 'Use Excel' set to No.

CROSSFROMBELOW is only a SC spreadsheet function, and only works on SC spreadsheets.

Hello, I updated to 971 and the arrows became visible. Without any changes they suddenly disappeared today.

Are you running the non-CLR version of Sierra Chart? Please update by selecting Help >> Download Prerelease to make sure you have the CLR version.

Also, we do not provide any support for Excel. We cannot help with that.

You need to use the built-in Sierra Chart spreadsheets.

Let us know what questions you still have.

Hello I do not use Excel, I use the SC Spreadsheet, so my experiences mentioned above are in relation to SC SS.
I do used "Download Current" to update to 971. Now I have 976 as u mentioned above. but still no trading arrows.
What is the difference between CLR and non-CLR.

You are only going to see arrows at the bars where a formula returns TRUE. Are you using the Spreadsheet System/Alert study?

In what columns are the formulas?

I found the mistake. I added further indicators into the chart and that caused some columns to change, that have been addressed in the
formulas.

If I want to move my "Spreadsheet System" to another instance of SC, i.e. different root folder, and to load it into charts over there, how can I manage this so that I have system and spreadsheet available in the other instance and maybe on several charts simultaneously for automatic trading.
