Hi.. It's possible to identify just by the sierra chart interface (screenshot of the chart and UI) if a trader is trading on a sim environment or a real one? I'm interested on a bunch of indicators, not strategies nor signals, and i'm seeing this guy, using analysis and indicators, to what it seems he is gaining good amount of money.. and to be honest, i'm so tired of scammers that it's difficult for me to trust. I'm seeing that he has an account number, like 58.... but it's possible to fake that? Any clues? Thanks beforehand. |

In the end, the answer is "no". There is no definitive way to look at the screen and know if someone is trading live or in simulation, as they can change the defaults for the items that generally give a clue to show differently. Sorry English is not my mother tongue.. My question is.. They can change the setting to show that they are on a real account while in reality they are on Sim or they can just hide those things so you can't know? What are those items that gives you clues for knowing a trader is on a real account? Thanks for answering, as always. |

By default, for instance, the color of the Trade Mode Box in the upper left corner tells you if you are in Simulation Mode or not. But that color is changeable, so you cannot look at that and know for certain that the user is in one mode or another. Another item, such as the Account Number, can be turned off so it is not displayed. And even though the internal Simulation Mode only uses "Sim1", "Sim2", etc. for the Account Numbers, the person could be connected to our "Simulated Futures Trading Service" instead of a live account. So you still cannot be certain of what they are connected to. For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

thanks! sorry, last question. Any reason in particularly for not having a feature that cannot be changed or removed so we can now if a trader is on live or sim account? |

It's just not something we have not done, and this is a very low priority item for us. There are a lot more important things for us to be working on.
