Hi, I've been having an issue lately with the configurations of settings for my tools keep getting changed.
I will set up a configuration and save it. Then the next day it will revert back to old settings. What is going on? I've never had this issue before.
Every day now I have to keep updating my configurations to what I want them to be, but randomly some of them get changed back even though I hit save each time. Today it changed back just an hour later and even after continually updating it to the correct settings and saving it, it would keep reverting back to old settings.

We are stumped by this. The only reason we can think of for this to occur is if someone shared their "settings" file with you and it is being overwritten every time you start Sierra Chart. But we do not see this, so we do not see any reason for this to occur.

Does this only happen when you exit from Sierra Chart and restart? Or do the configurations change while you are using the software?

I thought it was just when i exited and restarted. But yesterday is was doing it immediately after I had just saved it, the very next time I pulled the tool up.

Do you have any kind of synchronization software or backup software running? Again, we are wondering if the sierra4.config file that stores this information is being overwritten somehow.

I am on a new computer (work) and I copied over all my stuff including that sierra4.config
But that was a few weeks ago and I haven't changed anything since then. Is it possible my computer is getting confused, b/c I do have 2 instances of Sierra on this computer

Do you use both instances that are on that computer? Are they installed to two different folders? How do you access each one?

Are you starting one of these instances through File >> New Instance?

No, they showed me in this thread how to create another icon. So I just open them both each day. I use one for trading and the other for charting. So that the processing was split between different cores on my PC

Sorry I missed your call, I didn't know who it was from.
Can you please reach out tomorrow around 430pm EST? I will be at my work computer at that time and should be able to talk without too much distraction.

Thanks!
