We always appreciate your efforts to improve a great product. I have some important comments & one suggestion on this. I found the pulldown for Replay that has the new Step Option. That Step by Tick/Trade Option had set Replay back to Standard Replay default. I don't see where such "Step by Tick or Trade" does anything different than what was available for anyone using 1-second or above data. The moniker Step by "Trade" seems a bit non-descriptive since it will not step trade-by-trade or order-by-order (preferred). On Accurate Backtest, most of us set backtest interval to our data interval (lowest). In those cases (most), your change behaves exactly the way it did, stepping at smallest interval while running. That does not help find very brief intermittent conditions which trigger an intrabar True-Order. Such problem remains, only slightly helped by the new slower replay speed (by keyin). Use of Time & Sales records with 1-second data, including depth sums (like me) can trigger intrabar True's lasting a small fraction of a second. As I described before, watching 3 minutes to observe WITHIN 1-second of data (the .01 speed is actually .003 speed) is very difficult. And that is only after laboriously tracking down such 1 second in which the Order is triggered. That is: Finding one brief condition takes about 12+ minutes+ because of longer-period charts having to setup for feed to shorter-term. So each attempted correction of a traced-condition takes a cycle of near 25 minutes. All that could be remedied by a "real" stepping-Debug option to Pause at Order or Trade . I think most of us don't care much what goes on between Orders issuing, except immediately before (a few seconds). Respectfully, please reconsider adding a pause upon Order issue.
