We now set the Chart Update Interval on our Sierra Chart to 20 milliseconds. This is 2500 reads a second. CPU usage remains at 0 percent. Update: Actually we realize many of the charts we have open are daily charts so there is not this many reads a second but we would still expect the CPU usage to remain at zero percent.
