On the other hand there seems to be an inconsistency between Sierra Chart DTC server behavior and the DTC protocol specification ;)
Yes you are right there is an inconsistency and this is an error. We have now fixed this and we will have a new release out before morning. Furthermore in the latest prerelease we have already added the capability to set the encoding for the DTC Server in Sierra Chart. Update following the instructions here: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/download.php#FastUpdate You should not have any concern updating to the prerelease. It is stable. As a matter fact you must update because there has been a significant stability problem with the DTC historical data server which has been fixed.
