Dear ladies and gentlemen, last weekend I upgraded my Trading-Virtual Machine (running on ESX 5.5) from Windows 7 to Windows 10. So far there where no issues with the upgrade itself but I do have issues with the speed of scrolling charts and drawing within charts in SierraChart. Just as an additional information: I'm running the virtual machine in a local network with a 1 GBit connection. I'm aware that you will recommend not running SierraChart on a virtual machine - however, as it worked flawlessly using Windows 7 and RDP, I'd like to ask you for supporting me to resolve this issue. Here are some steps I've taken so far to narrow down the issue: - First I thought the issue is because of using RDP - so I used the drawing software "Paint" coming along with Windows to just check if drawing is generally slow. To my surprise it's not - drawing there works like a charm. - Second step was to check RDP-Performance on drawing with complex animations within Powerpoint and watching Videos - both worked fine as well without any issues - That's why I stepped further and noted that there are two processes consuming close to 100% of processing power over all the time: .NET Runtime Optimization Service and SierraChart itself - just by running the datafeed - nothing else... Do you have any idea on how I can reduce the CPU consumption and maybe thereby increase the drawing speed of SierraChart again? Thank you very much in advance! Regards, Markus |
