On 2016-02-01, our Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed users who have more than one real-time data connection, were being refused the additional connections beyond the first real-time connection.

This problem was resolved sometime before 3 PM US Eastern time.

This was due to a software update on Sunday where we corrected a problem where when a user is logged off for a certain reason after a successful logon, an unsuccessful logon response was being sent to the client.

This was not correct and it was changed to be a standard logoff response. However, this change also caused an unsuccessful logon to also use a logoff message rather than a logon response message with an error flag.

Anyway, this is a bit technical and to get to the point, this was causing a problem in Sierra Chart where it was not providing a usable username to log onto the data feed.

These two issues have been solved on both the client and server-side now. An incident like this cannot happen again.

We also have never had a situation like this occur previously. So trust that it will not happen again with the changes that have been made.

We will be giving each of the affected users, a short time extension for the difficulty today.

The changes have been released on the server now and also in Sierra Chart version 1364.
