I can connect but as soon as I try to place an order, it will switch back to simulation. any idea what I need to do? Thanks.
This is not technically possible as long as Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Service is set to Interactive Brokers. Unless you are running a chart replay. But in that case you could not switch out of Trade Simulation Mode to begin with. Trading message from IB: The price does not conform to the minimum price variation for this contract.
