What is supported is the ability to use the Sierra Chart historical Forex data when using an Interactive Brokers Forex symbol (IDEALPRO) but the real-time updating will use the Interactive Brokers data feed. You just need to enable Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service settings >>Support Alternate Forex Historical Data.
