Maybe you changed the Trade Window Configuration:
Basic Trading and the Trade Window: Using and Changing Between Different Trade Window and Attached Orders Configurations

There is no global default for this.


Here is the documentation to modify orders on the chart:

If you are still having trouble modifying an order, we need to have a better understanding of exactly what you are doing and exactly what is happening or not happening. Does the order line not move at all? That would indicate that Trade >> Chart Trade Mode On is not enabled.
