Dear User31732, I can understand that it's perfect for you but it's not perfect for me. As imbalance is calculated diagonaly, it's not possible to have a selling imbalance at the extreme top of a number bar column because above there are no trading activities (and no trading activities is different from the 0 value). As imbalance is calculated diagonaly, it's not possible to have a buying imbalance at the extreme bottom of a number bar column because below there are no trading activities (and no trading activities is different from the 0 value). To be complete, those mistakes arrived only when there are unfinished business at extreme top or bottom of a number bar column (X-X where X=trading volume) and not when the extreme top or bottom present a finished business pattern (0-X at top or X-0 at bottom where X=trading volume). So the extreme top 0-X or the extreme bottom X-0 are correctly calculated for the diagonal imbalance but the extreme top X-X or the extreme bottom X-X are not correctly calculated. If there is no bid and ask size above the extreme top and if there is an unfinished business pattern (X-X), there is no reason to calculate a diagonal imbalance. If there is no bid and ask size above the extreme bottom and if there is an unfinished business pattern (X-X), there is no reason to calculate a diagonal imbalance. Regards.
