I'm sure you'll want an official answer -- but it does not poll -- there is no "ticks per minute", any respectable feed delivers them in real time as they occur. The only feed I can think of that's bad enough to "poll" is interactive brokers, which is the worst of all time. esig is a joke, generally speaking -- their platform is so resource-heavy that I have seen it bog down a machine and been behind by a full minute, while other feeds worked fine.
