Found the problem. Yes, it was showing as 1240.75; however, the exchange was actually holding it as 1240.75 (i.e. twelve-hundred forty dollars) which is why I didn't get filled (aaaaggggghhhh!) Appears problem was with old CBOT charts in my chartbook that didn't display properly so I changed the multiplier, inadvertently changing the "real-time" multiplier which jacked up the price format.
