Post From: "Enter Text" dialogue box appears so I can't use the crosshair. How do I get rid of it?

I was clicking on the Countdown Timer on the chart to move it and the Enter Text box appeared. I can X it out but it reappears on every chart and won't let me get the crosshair up. How do I get rid of this? I tried restarting Sierra but it's made no difference :( |
