Hello, Deribit has deployed its new "Starbase" matching engine in Equinix LD4, running alongside their classic API stack. For this high-performance layer, they have implemented a native binary protocol using Simple Binary Encoding (SBE) and a standard FIX 5.0 SP2 Drop Copy feed for full account-wide order lifecycle tracking. According to their published metrics, median latency is now at 76 microseconds (https://insights.deribit.com/exchange-updates/deribits-new-matching-engine-from-milliseconds-to-microseconds/). As Sierra Chart already operates its server infrastructure and Teton routing directly within the same colocation facilities (LD4), the physical and technical infrastructure is identical. This completely eliminates the previous arguments regarding non-standard protocols or unreliable web-based APIs of crypto exchanges. Starbase provides the exact native binary and FIX protocols required for stable trade execution. Since the required institutional trading interfaces are now fully available in LD4, are there internal plans to support a direct connection for native trading execution (Chart-Trader/DOM) to the Deribit Starbase gateway?
