Post From: Historical intraday data availability for SPX, RUT, GLD, SLV, USO

Hello,

I'm trying to download historical intraday data (1-min base, exported to 5-min/30-min bars) going back to at least 2010-01-01 for several symbols, and I'm running into data availability limits that I'd like clarified.

1) SPX (S&P 500 cash index)
I added SPX_CGI from "CBOE Global Indexes (Realtime)". After Edit > Delete All Data And Download, with Days To Load = 6200 and Date Range From = 2010-01-01, the request returned 0 intraday records. It appears this service only supports real-time forward recording with no historical backfill for cash indices.
- Is there any Sierra Chart data service that provides historical INTRADAY data for the real SPX cash index (not just real-time forward recording)?
- If so, which service/symbol, and is it included in my current subscription or does it require an add-on?

2) RUT (Russell 2000 cash index)
I could not find a real RUT index symbol at all via Find Symbol on any of the available services. The only substitute I found was US2000 on "CFD - FXCM (Realtime)", which is a CFD proxy, not the real index.
- Is there a real RUT cash index symbol available anywhere in Sierra Chart's data services?
- If not, what would you recommend as the closest available substitute for backtesting purposes?

3) CFD proxies (SPX500, US2000) - limited history
As a workaround for #1 and #2, I tried the CFD proxies SPX500 and US2000 from "CFD - FXCM (Realtime)". Both are limited to roughly 6 months of historical intraday data (from approximately 2026-03-16/23 to today), even after setting Days To Load = 6200 and Date Range From = 2010-01-01.
- Is ~6 months a hard limit of the CFD-FXCM Realtime service, or is deeper history available under a different plan/service?

4) GLD, SLV, USO - same 6-month limit, unlike SPY/QQQ/IWM
This is the part I find most confusing. For SPY, QQQ, and IWM (US equity ETFs), I was able to download full historical intraday data back to 2010-01-01 without issue. However, for GLD, SLV, and USO — which appear to use the same underlying service (us_equities_utp_cta_exchange.data) — the historical intraday download is capped at roughly 6 months (from approximately 2026-03-16 to today), even with Days To Load = 6200 and Date Range From = 2010-01-01.
- Why would GLD/SLV/USO be limited to ~6 months of intraday history while SPY/QQQ/IWM get full history back to 2010, given they appear to use the same data service/category?
- Is there a specific subscription, entitlement, or add-on needed to unlock full historical intraday data for GLD, SLV, and USO similar to what I already have for SPY/QQQ/IWM?

5) General question
What is the most cost-effective way, within my current subscription or an upgrade, to get several years (ideally back to 2010) of historical intraday data (1-minute bars) for: SPX (cash index), RUT (cash index), GLD, SLV, and USO?

Thank you for your help.
