Post From: Using the Simulated Futures Trading Service from an external DTC client

Hello Team, I'm running an external automated client that connects to the Sierra Chart DTC Protocol Server on the same machine for order routing. Live orders route correctly through Teton CME Routing. For testing I want the client to trade against the server-based Simulated Futures Trading Service rather than the live account. Orders sent over DTC with TradeAccount "Sim1" are received by the DTC server (they appear in the Message Log) but produce no ORDER_UPDATE — neither accepted nor rejected. With the live account name and Trade Simulation Mode on, orders are rejected with "Non-simulated Trade Account cannot be used with Trade Simulation Mode," which I understand is expected. From the documentation I gather the internal Trade Simulation Mode isn't accessible over DTC and the Simulated Futures Trading Service is the intended route. Could you confirm: (1) how to activate the Simulated Futures Trading Service on my account; (2) what it appears as in Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Current Selected Service — it isn't in my current list; (3) the trade account name the DTC client should use once it's active; and (4) whether it can run alongside Teton for live data, or whether I need to switch services to use it. Sierra Chart build 58042, Windows, package with Teton CME Routing and Denali data. Juan |
