To start with, make sure you are using the same front contract. When using different front contracts and one is too far forward for the current roll, then the most recent day may be the listed contract but other data would be the previous one. This can be why you may not see much difference in the charts when you changed the symbol. So yes, it can be related to the Continuous Contract setup. But, you still need to ensure that you have the same contract to ensure all the back-adjustments are correct. Next, we are very confused on what you are trying to compare. One is a 100000 volume chart and the other is a Daily chart. These are going to show very different bars.
