What is the symbol for this chart, as it is entered in "Chart >> Chart Settings >> Symbol >> Symbol"? And what is "Global Settings >> Data/Trade Service Settings >> Main Settings >> Current Selected Service" set to? The reason why you can not change the "Date Range in File From" to a more recent date is that the data is already there, so you can not remove it by changing that date. We need to know the above so we know where you are getting your data from, which may give us some information on why you are having a problem.
