Calculus, If I understand you, I think you can accomplish this by creating an alert configuration for whatever tool you are drawing with. i.e. Horizontal Line, so when setting a horizontal line config (in global settings >> tool configs >> Horizontal Line Confg >> Alerts), ALSO set the "enable alert condition" check box to true for that config and save it with however you like your alerts to trigger. Then in practice/real time you just need to right click on your horizontal line and choose your "alert" config. You can also right click on any existing or just placed line and choose "alert" in the pop out menu and set the alert condition in just a few seconds once you are familiar with the menu sequence. In addition, you can set a keyboard shortcut for drawing the horizontal line (or whatever) tool so that could shorten your time as well. Furthermore if you set your "default" Horizontal Line tool config to have alerts enabled you can place that alert as fast as you can hit the Keyboard Shortcut + click the mouse. I hope that helps.
