1. Day Trading Hours are 09:30 to 16:00 NY Time. Monday-Friday 2. Day trading does not include hours from 16:00 to 17:00 3. Overnight ("Globex") Trading Hours are 17:00 to 09:30 Sunday - Thursday 4. Holding a position from Day to Night means your margin requirements change as the market can gap more at night and is therefore riskier. If you don't have sufficient margin you may be forced to liquidate. Check with your broker. Yes, if you don't meet the margin requirements for the number of contracts traded, then you can either not trade during night hours, or reduce the number of contracts. Depending on the asset you could trade the micros instead of the minis. (e.g MES vs. ES) |
