I have nothing against topstep nor any of the software ecosystem around the business, but it just doesn't seem sane that at a time the software industry is taking a massive hit, the consumer is being asked to pay more to do something they used to do natively with no additional costs for years and that was just months ago.
Honestly agree with all your points. The Topstep Ruleset of no buffers, larger payouts, no consistency are still, unfortunately, the best value proposition for me. I made SierraStep because I quite literally was solving a problem for myself. I've only recently reached breakeven on SierraStep infrastructure, and was more or less footing the bill to provide the community with the ability to rinse Topstep payouts for the past couple of months lol. Regardless it does suck: the new apex accounts are decent but still not a better "cost of eval to payout" ratio. Most other firms just don't support rithmic sierra integration. So that leaves me with Lucidtrading or Topstep w SierraStep. Cheers! |
