a fill that was needed to determine the correct fills-implied position was not available.
This is unlikely to be the case.

The issue of Interactive Brokers is that due to Symbol mismatches, or just simply API behaviors, there is no position data from Interactive Brokers. So what happens is that, when the fill generates the correct position update, it reverts back to 0:
