There is no control for the order of the drawing of the Subgraphs within a single study. The order is going to be from the top down, so the lower subgraphs are going to be drawn "on top" of the others. The solution you have of using a second study is the only way to do this (apart from modifying the study itself for your purposes). Keep in mind the same rule applies to the studies, the lower in the list the later it is drawn.
