Post From: Interplay Between Max Interval Delay and Chart Update Interval?

I'm a bit confused about the interplay between some chart interval update settings when using SierraChart (non-OS) timers: My global chart update interval is set to 10,000ms because many of my hidden charts don't require constant updating, and those are set to the global setting. But I'm using SierraChart timers and my "Timer Management - Maximum Interval Delay" is set to 1,000ms. Does that 1,000ms setting override the global chart interval, so that all charts now update every 1,000ms? If so, is there a way to force a longer interval on certain charts? don't want to set the "Timer Management - Maximum Interval Delay" more than 1,000ms for fear that it might slow down my DOM and execution chart. (Is there even much of a CPU saving benefit from using 10,000ms vs 1,000ms?) Thanks! |
