There has to be something causing this to change. There is nothing in the system that would do this automatically, and if there were, then we would have heard about this before. Since it is not a misunderstanding of how the "Use Common Drawing Tool" works, in that when you change the tool in one chart it will update all other charts. And since it is not a custom study that is changing the selection. Then the only other item we can think of is that you have setup a Keyboard Shortcut for the Crosshairs that is somehow being selected when you are not realizing it. In particular we wonder if you may have setup a keyboard shortcut using a single key binding - such as just using "a". This would mean that if you were just typing the letter, then it could cause the keyboard shortcut to be enacted, even though you really did not want it. Please check your keyboard shortcut setup for "Crosshairs" and if it is set to a single key, then please change it to something that includes a modifier key as well (such as CTRL or ALT).
