Despite all of them contain the same information, when [M] symbol is present, when Bid/Ask Volume is displayed in DOM or when Volume Profile is created, all this is based on data from ESH26-CME.scid ?
The above statement is not correct. The data is going to be pulled from whichever symbol is being used at that time. So when you are connected to Rithmic, the data is taken from the ESH6.CME.scid file. If you were connected to Teton, then the data is from the ESH26_FUT_CME.scid file. is there a plan to introduce feature "Translate Symbols to Current Service and Copy all Settings"?
There is the following option in the system, but it is not recommended, as it can lead to issues, so you have to be careful: Chart Settings: Do Not Change Symbol Settings for Chart on Symbol Change (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Symbol >> Symbol Settings menu) In general, the symbol settings should be the same between services. And we try to have the symbol settings set to what most people would want. But, if you use something different, for whatever reason, then the symbol settings would have to be updated for each service. Also, if you are changing between services, then we really recommend using multiple installations of Sierra Chart, so you can keep each installation set to its chosen trading service. Refer to the following for how to install additional Sierra Chart: Using Multiple Data and Trading Services at the Same Time: Step-By-Step Instructions to Install Multiple Copies of Sierra Chart For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
