Make sure that you do not have power saving or battery saving enabled. Also with the NTFY app settings make sure that Backgroun App Refresh is enabled. And that the notifications are set to Immediate. One thing to look out for is if you are an area with bad mobile or wifi coverage, that would cause a delay in notifications too.
