No, I definitely have two main instances running, each with one sub instance. I know this is longer than you'd like, but at the end I'd just like you to verify I have this configured correctly now. This all worked fine until today, and it is obviously related to the clean up we had to do which was caused by my routine updating to the then current version 2871 or 2872. I didn't get the gentleman's name who did the remote session with me to try and help get it put back together, but when we ended the call, he said you'd have to work on it and get back to me tomorrow (meaning today, Monday, 02/02/2026). I subsequently let you know that I was able to get that instance back up by rolling it back to a previously known version. I then updated to the current version, 2874. Today we had the issue of rejected trades, and I've read your most recent response. I did go to the links you provided, and a few more to get a surface understanding of what happened. I'd like to make sure I'm on the right page. On my one PC I have two separate, main instances of SC. Each has one sub instance. I'll refer to these separate main instances as a "Trading", and "Reference". These are used as the names would indicate, one for Trading, one for Reference charts. My understanding of what I just read is that each of these main instances has a DTC Protocol server, and when running two at the same time, as I am, the settings need to be configured correctly. This morning, the Trading sub instance was being routed through the Reference DTC Protocol server. I'm not sure how or why that happened, but I do know that the DTC in Reference was enabled, while the DTC in Trading was NOT enabled, which obviously caused the issue. The Reference instance has always been set to TSM so the trades were being rejected, which prompted my reaching out to you. After your responses, and reading what I've read, I'd like to know that I have this configured correctly. My Reference instance > Global Settings > Sierra Chart Server Settings > Enable DTC Protocol Server is set to Yes. Listening Port is set to 11199, Historical Data Port is set to 11198, and Allow Trading is set to No. (I did run netstat to ensure these ports were not being used.) My Reference sub instance Global Settings > Sierra Chart Server Settings > Enable DTC Protocol Server is set to No. Listening Port is set to 11211, Historical Data Port is set to 11210, and Allow Trading is set to No. (I did run netstat to ensure these ports were not being used.) My Trading instance > Global Settings > Sierra Chart Server Settings > Enable DTC Protocol Server is set to Yes. Listening Port is set to 11099, Historical Data Port is set to 11098, and Allow Trading is set to Yes. Thank you! Date Time Of Last Edit: 2026-02-02 19:09:02
