We have definitely determined, in versions 2870 and 2871 even when using Sierra Chart Timers, a Chart Update Interval, setting under 10 ms is not being followed. The minimum is still 10 ms. We will be releasing version 2872 to remove this limitation but if you were to reduce the Chart Update Interval to 1 ms, it is going to cause measurable ongoing CPU usage even when there is no market activity. So this is not recommended to go this low. Also, we will not be adding support for an update interval less than 1 ms. That is inherently difficult to do, not impossible but inherently difficult to do as it goes below the minimum wait time for OS synchronization objects. And clearly it is not going to be practical.
