There are a lot of updates regarding to the fiber break but here are the some of the recent ones:

Verizon update: Work is progressing well. The hydrovac team found the conduit about 10 ft from the break and cleared the handhole area. They’re widening the hole now so we can pull the fiber and the splicing can begin. No overall ETR can be given at this time.

The higher-level outage between Monroe, MI and Toledo, OH is ongoing. Currently, splicing in the north pit is underway and is expected to be completed in approximately 1-hour. There is no ETR at this time. Additional updates will be provided within 2-hours, thank you.

Verizon advised that all splicing is complete. Cogent Transport NOC team is seeing service restored.

Our 100 Gb wavelength is now up. It has been up for 02:49:08 hours as of this posting.

We are not going to make any configuration changes this weekend. There is no point. There is evidence the affected ISPs have already worked around this issue, early Friday morning.
